AG Makes Visits During
National Crime Victims Rights Week
Throughout Alabama
(MONTGOMERY) - Attorney General Luther Strange visited several sites during National Crime Victims Rights Week in Alabama, which started on Sunday, April 6, with the Southeast VOCAL Chapter Vigil in Dothan. Other sites and events attended by the Attorney General during the week included the State Fraternal Order of Police Conference in Huntsville, the National Children's Advocacy Center and Crisis Services Center of North Alabama in Huntsville, the Calhoun-Cleburne and Walker County Children's Advocacy Centers, Second Chance Domestic Violence Shelter in Anniston, the Anniston/Mt. Cheaha VOCAL Candlelight Vigil, the Central Alabama VOCAL Candlelight Vigil in Columbiana, the Lovelady Center, the WellHouse: A Place of Grace, Jessie's Place of the Jimmie Hale Mission in Birmingham, the Walker County 2014 Candlelight Vigil in Jasper and the Candlelight on the Delta Vigil in Spanish Fort, Alabama.
The organizations, non-profits, and memorial services are all part of Alabama's dedication to promoting the rights of victims and honoring crime victims. The theme for the week was “30 Years: Restoring the Balance of Justice”.
